Life can be hectic and sometimes we need to slow down, not just the body but the mind as well. The mind is like a computer, if you have too many programmes open it becomes slow and ineffective. If you have too much going on, physically and mentally you become drained, your memory suffers, you become less focused and eventually burnt out.
Join us and start your journey to find much-needed calm and clarity – sixty minutes of relaxation. We start with a simple meditation to quieten the mind and wind down, this is followed by gentle yoga/stretching, a chat about bringing mindfulness into your daily life and ends with a mindful meditation to leave you feeling calm and refreshed.
Mindfulness is all about living in the present, enjoying what is happening right now without ruminating on what has happened in the past or worrying about what might happen in the future. It has been shown to reduce stress, anxiety and depression and can also lower blood pressure.
The sessions will give you lots of tips and techniques to use at home. Come to recharge your batteries.
